So nice to hear from you Wendy! Yes, I hear you. You're in good company. I'd say 90% of my friends and family feel the same. There's so much for all of us consider about our true nature beyond any of our belief systems. I'm hopeful that this will be a safe place to question it all together to see if we can better understand how to move forward together. Thanks for taking the time to read it!
Thanks Karen, I was so touched to see your sponsorship and support. It means so much to me to do this work and to have such an incredible audience of readers like you. Merry Christmas!
Thank you for this first post. I will be reading forward for sure. It is a lot to unpack. I took notes and what really stands out is that it starts with us and we can do this. I love how you communicate that we have learned to duck not breathe through deeper questions. You are good at leaving the learning to the reader on his behalf, like when you write "we left churches in droves and pews sit empty". The pause after lets the reader finish that thought for themselves.
It hit home for me about one tree with branches fighting. Capacious is a word I love. I never heard ecumenical before. If I talked to you in person I would ask you the following questions because I am curious.
1. Where are you from and how did you grow up?
2. is writing a practice or prayer for you?
3. Why do you want a higher truth?
4. where did you learn the word Capacious?
5. What do you mean by Trusting your deeper innate natural intelligence?
6. What choices have churches made that fall outside the realm of organized religion?
7. What are some of the unsung ingredients of who you are?
First of all, wow THANK YOU for your interest and for your questions.
I hope it's okay with you if I answer them all in my Q&R later this month and share the answers with everyone.
I live in Canada. I grew up on a farm in a small town outside of North Bay, Ontario (Callander) and i live in a small mountain town called Collingwood now.
You inspired me to share a bit more about my family background in this post and I'll definitely share more about myself over time. I'm new to writing, but it definitely is having it's way with me. Something's happened and I can't seem to stop and my goal is to actually make these posts shorter and more easily digestible, but for now I'm just so happy to have the chance to share some of the things that are on my mind. I appreciate you and I'm so grateful you're here.
I would be happy to interview you on Zoom, through substack if there is a "live" feature or not. I am most interested in gathering support for you not collecting ammunition. You know my wife Lisa, that's how I found your page here, from your card - Thankyou
Oh wow, thanks Chris I think that would be amazing and yes, i'm just learning as I go with substack but there is s live video feature. I feel like just getting lift off with the newsletter for me is a bit of a miracle at the moment, but I'm so grateful to you and I will be in touch in the New Year. ps. You have excellent taste, your wife is one of my favourite people on earth :)

Hi Nona:
I am very interested in what you are saying....."God" doesn't exist in my life either. I was also devastated to hear about t'Witch.
You write very well.
